Some snow falling in both Yankton and Princeton. The headline in the P&D caught his attention today. I talked about a program about Sammy Davis Junior, but Dad did not recall that entertainer. He mentioned about a story that his Uncle Mike went to what sounded like a lynching what is now the Catholic Church, but did not stay.

It was a cold morning in both Yankton and Princeton. There was a new story about what I think was basic training. Then the dangers of playing with Icicles. And a tradition that he had as a kid that he and his Granddad would go to the bar on Saturday Night, he would get some kind of a "special drink" for the occasion.

Called up a little early today. I noticed that there was going to be a funeral this morning and I was thinking that Dad and JoAnn would be attending it. Yankton was a bit warmer than Princeton this morning and it will be warmer through out the day. Some stories this morning about working at the Post Office.

Talked about the recent Polar Vortex we just lived through. Currently Yankton had Blue Sky's nothing but Blue Sky's, like the Willy Nelson song. And his first football practice.

It was single digits in Princeton, however around 30's in Yankton this morning. Reminisced about how the city blocked off E 15th St hill (East of Burleigh St) for a couple of years before that area got developed.
