Another nice weather report this morning in both Yankton and Princeton. This is a rare leap day conversation with Dad, February 29th only happens once every 4 years except, and there are exceptions. Darn Nature not being even steven.
The weather is nice again this morning in both Yankton and Princeton. We are on the backside of our bathroom remodeling project. From the SD Historical Archives Dekin Hall was on the University of South Dakota campus in Yankton. So how can this be spun around?
The weather has started to warm up compared to the last few day's of frigid temperatures. Going to have lunch at a Irish Bar today, we have high expectations for this experiance.
JoAnn took a fall last night, and had to go to the emergency room. But she was having breakfast while I was talking to Dad. Much colder this weekend than last. Reminiscing about Tilkie Motors and discussing Burger King that took over that spot.
Unusually warm this weekend for being the first part of February, but there are no complaints about that. Asked about the Moon Theater that was on the other side of the street from the Dakota Theater. I remember as a kid I went to see the Eye Doctor Dr Baton in that building, and it had a slanted floor. I hear it still does.
Cloudy day this morning with temperatures around freezing. Pleasant for this time of year.
Remembering Bimbo's Hamburgers. And a time when Dad said he didn't prefer hot dogs.
Recovering from a snowy day yesterday. Yankton is still in a blizzard warning, and Princeton is in a Winter Storm Warning until 6 this evening.
I thought that they might have been going to the funeral of Elaine Martin this morning. She worked with JoAnn at JC Penny's and I remember her and her husband Barney from the Antique Auto Club. There was no mention of going to a funeral which is good on a day like today.
