I caught Dad still in bed again this morning. He was able to confirm that there was snow on the ground in Yankton. As I see this will be my final conversation with Dad this year, and the next time we talk it will be the year 2021. I am wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I wasn't able to call Dad on Saturday however, I did talked with Dad this morning. Even though my weather app said it was cloudy he said that it looked sunny out. Talked with Dad this morning, he was in the Dinning Room this morning. Talked about how I am planning on bottling some beer that I have been brewing for a while today.

Had a pleasant visit with Dad this morning, I am thinking that he was sitting in the lunch area not in the sitting area. We talked about snow on the ground, Dad said that he could see snow on the roof. My personal opinion is that it is too early for snow this time of year.

Had a pleasant conversation with Dad this morning. Like last night we had some heavy rain roll through before midnight last night, some hail but not much else. We got a couple inches of rain. I asked Dad about deliving chickens, he could kind of remember but not much.

Took a couple of tries to get in touch with Dad this morning, it must have been busy there this morning. It is going to be a hot day in both Princeton, and Yankton today. Reminisced about his Korean Oil Drum demonstration and building a stronger international relationship. He did ask about where JoAnn was, and I reminded him that she passed away a few months ago. That took him by surprise, but we moved on after that.

Today we talked about battling weeds, and the importance of replacing furnace filters. The weather is cooler in both Yankton, and Princeton with Princeton has a slight chance of some rain later today.

Got a hold of Dad right away again today. We talked about the weather and my chances of grilling supper this evening. Also I told him a story how we are fighting chipmunks and it seems like Juicy Fruit gum is doing the trick. Dad recalled a time when he did a roofing job on the tallest building in Yankton. It was next to the river, I suggested that perhaps it was the old brewery. He said that was probably it.

Rainy in Yankton as we talked with the rain headed to Princeton. Plumbing issues continue but there is a plan to resolve. We also talked about Chili Dog, or Coney Island same hot dog with chili on it different names though. And on that note Tavern, Sloppy Joe, Loose Meat sandwich, Crumble Burger, or Maid Rite all of the same type of sandwich just different names. I still like how my Mom maid tavern's, I think I remember how she made them.

Cloudy in Yankton today, sunny and cool in Princeton. Lots of unrest in the Minneapolis/St Paul area that is dominating the news cycle. The office that I work at is close to the epicenter of the action. There was a message sent out on Thursday that Wells Fargo was closing down their offices in Minneapolis which would have included mine however, because of the Corona Virus I have been working from home for the last couple of months.

JoAnn answered the room phone today.  After a unusually cool week in Minnesota it is going to be relatively pleasant today here, and it looks like good weather in Yankton as well. Dad was finishing up breakfast when I called. He said it was some kind of meat like a meatball, I was suggesting that it might have been sausage. Gave Dad the news about baby Russell coming into the world on April 14th.

Called the main phone again, there was a bit of familiarity when they answered that it was Saturday morning. We have been watching Ken Burns Country Music and I oddly attracted to the music of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. Dad had some familiarity when I talked about Gene Autry and their efforts durring WWII. Pleasant day today in both Yankton, and Princeton however, there is a winter storm advisory for Yankton tomorrow.

I had to use the main phone to get a hold of Dad today nobody answered the room phone.  Sunny but cool on this day in both Yankton and Princeton. Talked about Beaver Lake that is north of Yankton. I had always heard it referred to as State Lake, we went fishing their as a family in the mid 60's. As the story I recall that was the spot that Dad met Mom.

Took some time to have the phone answered today, the phone was in their bedroom. They were finishing up with breakfast of toast and I think perhaps eggs. In Princeton we have a winter weather advisory today for some snow, Yankton was forecast to have rain today. In both towns it was cloudy and no sun.
